Tickenham, Tintinhull, Totterdown

Tickenham post office was originally open in 1849 but then closed in 1860.  It was reopened in 1930 under Bristol before transferring to Clevedon in 1935.  This first sheet has two different single ring cancels from 1973 and 2000.

Tickenham also featured on a special Occasions cancel in 2003.

The postcard below has a "TINTINHULL/ MARTOCK" single ring cancel from 1918.

Totterdown is just one mile south of the centre of Bristol but is just south of the River Avon so I include it as "Somerset".  It appears to have changed postal district between the two items below; in 1947 the registered cover has "TOTTERDOWN BRISTOL 4" single ring cancels while in 1978 the certificate of posting has a "TOTTERDOWN BRISTOL 3" handstamp.

The certificate of posting from 1997 has a "TOTTERDOWN BRISTOL" self-inking datestamp.
