1817 Lyme Dorset Ship Letter

Another Dorset item, a Ship Letter from Madeira to London arriving via Lyme in Dorset in May 1817.  The letter was written on 22nd March and took 44 days to London.

It was charged 8d as a Ship Letter (the rate was introduced on 11th July 1815) plus 10d in the General Post for 120-170 miles, making 1/6d in total.
