The postcard below has a straight-line "BRISTOL DELIVERY" handstamp. It was from Stoke Fleming, near Dartmouth and addressed to Claremont House, St George, Bristol.
There were multiple "St George(s)" in the region - was the handstamp applied to misdirected mail to indicate the post should be for the Bristol "St George" ? That might indicate that the handstamp was applied in another St George (for example in Easton in Gordano), though with the Axbridge postmark it might have been applied there ?
